Capturing the essence of dance was the specialty of photographer Tom Kramer, a well-respected photographer who lived and worked in the Tampa Bay area. According to his close friend Lynn Whitelaw: “[Tom] captured the moment, the decisive moment… and he befriended the dancers. He observed them, he understood them, he captured them. And he's doing that with lighting and color and texture and composition… the last 30 years of his life was primarily dealing with dance photography and he became the master of that realm.”
