In A Day in the Life, artist Donne Bitner combines media such as paint and charcoal to portray a variety of symbols such as a house, a rabbit, and a bird, with a large blue flower. The various subjects move in and out of focus on an imagined landscape, creating a surreal yet vaguely familiar scene—like a dream or the recollection of a memory long since passed. Bitner hopes her artworks inspire viewers to “find the hidden texture and meaning” embedded within the implied narrative.
Donne Bitner has been a full-time studio artist for the past thirty years. She maintains a studio a McRae Art Studio in Orlando, Florida, and her work is additionally being publicized in American Artists Watercolor Magazine, and Watercolor Magic.
