children_hiding625x325: With children_hiding625x325, Christina Humphreys explores the intersection of painting and digital technology, as well as where the two types of media diverge. Humphreys works from digital images that she has created by dragging photographs through a scanner, resulting in images that are sometimes fluid and expressive while other areas may seem motionless and stagnant. Through the physical process of the scanner, Humphreys adds an additional layer of history to the creation of the painting.
