Purchased by Hillsborough Community College, 2016.2.1 In this landscape oil painting, Kathy Wright presents a muted blue house set against a sophisticated palette of pinks, blues, yellows, greens and grays. With loose yet deliberate brush strokes, her balanced composition and carefully weighted tones depict a scene that is both mysterious and serene. In the foreground, we see a house with two visible windows and a single open door, inviting the viewer to contemplate what stories or mysteries lie within the walls.
