In Toys and Games IX, vibrant hues such as orange, red, green, and teal dance around the canvas against a field of muted blue. Organic lines wind their way through the composition from top to bottom, creating sinuous pathways that move around and through a chaotic web of shapes. Energetic and merry, the artworks in this series are meant to evoke fond memories of childhood play. It is the artist’s hope that the paintings foster dialogue among older and younger generations about toys and games, and most importantly, to encourage individuals to take time to play.
