The new Cornelius History Museum will be housed in the historic Cornelius High School Agriculture Building on School Street: The new Cornelius History Museum is housed in the historic Cornelius High School Agriculture Building on School Street. Inside, visitors will discover interactive exhibits, local artifacts, and personal stories that share our town’s agricultural roots, early settlers, and growth into the community we know today.
It is opening soon. The museum is designed to be a cultural anchor for our walkable downtown, offering rotating displays and educational programming for families, students, and history lovers of all ages. The project is supported by donations and grants, including a $500,000 state grant toward the approximately $2 million renovation and exhibit effort.
