Description

Unlined khaki cotton drill summer service dress tunic with a pair of pleated breast patch pockets and a pair of expanding patch waist pockets. The pockets have flaps secured by black bakelite RAAF buttons, those on the breast having three pointed flaps, while those at the waist are square. A 1940 pattern RAAF Air Gunner's 'AG' brevet, showing a white wing, and a white 'AG' within a pale blue wreath, is sewn above the left breast pocket. The tunic has no epaulettes attached to the tunic, however the black bakelite RAAF buttons remain in place. The sleeves have pointed cuffs. A centre vent extends from the centre back to the bottom of the skirt. A self fabric belt with a black plastic buckle is threaded through keepers on each side seam. The inside right front has a manufacturer's label, 'Henry Morgan & Co Ltd, Montreal'.
