Table LoomDescription
small loom without treadles that sits upon a tabletop. Instead of using the treadles, the weaver uses their fingers to operate leavers which make the mechanisms move and enable the movement of the warp threads so that the weft can move through easily. Table looms can be used by any weaver regardless of skill level.
This loom in particular, however, lacks any maker's mark. While it could have been removed by time and neglect, it is also possible that this loom was handmade.Use
Used by a single weaver to make small pieces of narrow fabric. Not very suitable for clothing fabric because the width is so narrow, but would be well suited to things like table runners or scarves.
