Expert boatbuilder and photographer John Newman of Central Saanich generously donated funds to erect this lovely boathouse. \Inside you can find not only the small boats he built, but also his beautiful models, rowing sculls and unique collection of black and whate photographs that cronicle life here on the Saanich Peninsular and adjacent areas in the early 20th century. A fine collection of marine engines and nautical items is displayed in the basement level.
