Vegetable Ivory case in a light tan colour with brown spots around.- honey colour. Acorn shaped with large finial top, smaller at bottom. Rounded top with cross hatching all over, No thimble as purchased. Dorcas type thimble - 2 layers silver with steel between - added. Plain wide band at rim. Stamped with Dorcas CH (Charles Horner)and 4(size). Daisy pattern from band to and over top. Thimble looks like it has never been used.
