The Utility BuildingDescription
This building has a concrete floor and foundation, concrete block walls and partition and a flat tar and gravel roof. The size is approximately 23' X 24' X 8'. This building houses the Men's and Women's wheelchair accessible washrooms, a 600amp electrical service room and a small service room. It also houses the pump for our sewage disposal system, pumping form the septic tank over to the disposal field on the west side of Sandhill Creek. This building, equipment and disposal field system represents an investment of $32,000 in cash, $10,148 from a New Horizons grant and the balance in donations from members and others, plus much volunteer labour and loaned equipment. We used our own lumber, sawn and planed on site. The plans for this building were approved and met all applicable code requirements. The building has had a new roof and was painted inside in 1993.
