Description

Battle Creek was the birthplace of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and the Western Health Reform Institute stated by Dr Harvey Kellog – the future inventor of cornflakes! Many strange therapeutic devices were invented at the institute which became a famous “Sanitarium” (the word was invented by changing the word sanatorium (a health rehab for injured soldiers). The Supertherm Jr. appears to be some type of electrotherapeutic device although Kellog stated that electricity is not capable of accomplishing half the marvels that are claimed for it, he still believed that electric currents were “an extremely valuable therapeutic agent especially when utilized in connection with hydrotherapy”
