The Ernest W, Wirtanen Building (The "Work Building") is a metal structure, the Certificate of Completion was issued on November 2 2012. The building was funded primarily through a donation. The building was erected by Steve Butler Construction of Saanichton. The floor size is 96' X 50' with a pitched metal roof. The wall height is 20' rising to 22.25' at the pitch apex. There are two overhead doors each 14' wide with a clearance height of 14'. The foundations are concrete and the shop floor is 6 inches concrete. A subsequent mezzanine floor was added with wood floor measuring approximately 21.5' X 39.5'. at a level of 11.5'
