Polished pewter thimble with 13 black stars on top of thimble- incised.Map of state of Illinois, stars and bird on branch around body of thimble, also incised in black so they could catch a needle if ever used for sewing. Words ÒIllinoisÓ and ÒCardinalÓ (state bird) also in black. No marks.
