tag on it said 'snowshoes brought into district in fall of 1910 by Andy J Ludgate for use in Checking timber stand on new Kitsumkalum timber co. Limits west of Kitsumkalum river and all Zimacord valley. Shoes left with Frank Family and used extensively by frank children. Patched up by Henry Frank. Still original webbing. Stye as used in Ontario and Quenbec where snowfall is lighter and snow drier.
