Cook Stove "The Homesteader".
Kitchen Cook stove with attached reservoir, warming oven plus sad iron stand
"This cookstove dates from the early 1920's and is all that remains of the original hotel's artifacts. This stove is unusual in that it has it's water reservoir on the left hand side and not the right as was more common. There is an opening at the front of the stove near the top for the installation of a clock. It has a warming stand and hooks on the rear for the hanging of utensils.
The stove was purchased by Bill Treston from Mr. Dix when he left the hotel. Mr. Treston sold it again to Mrs. J. Hart. She loaned it to the Parmenter family for their own use. Louise Parmenter cleaned the stove and used it for several years. She returned it to Mrs. Hart after electricity was installed in their home. Moved from their log cabin to a permanent home with electricity in Rosswood." - from Old Museum Info & Tour Info Pre - 2003Use
This stove was used by Bill Treston during the 1920's, then Jo Hart, then Parameter. The stove was used across Canada then specifically at Kalum Lake.Acquisition
