Came from farmhouse on land north of present Caledonia senior secondary school. Donor's mom, Olga Penner, was picking potatoes in a form in late 1960s. Howe house was being emptied, and the Bible was in a pile to be put on a bonfire. Olga asked if she could buy it. All she had was $1, but the men emptying the house agreed. She passed it down to Mary, who remembers seeing the Howe family when she was a little girl - specifically Mr Howe, who had "snow white" hair.Cataloged By
