Description

History: Owner (Tony Zeiglr) came to Terrace in 1955. The Accordion was given to him as a gift. He played mostly for fun to entertain friends and family. Tony told the staff that the current state of the accordion is unplayable. a- Accordion 48 cm (l) x 41 cm (w) x 18.5 (h) is mainly black. The longer piano keys are ivory and the shorter ones are black. There are eight round buttons on above the piano keys. The body of the accordion is black with silver detailing. The bellows are black and white. The back of the accordion or the bass is black with four round buttons nearest to the top. The bass has black buttons which are positioned on a white background. The accordion has a leather shoulder strap for the player to wear. b- Case 60.5 cm (l) x 48 cm (w) x 24.5 cm (h) appears to be covered in a canvas that is a light tan colour, that looks like it is dirty. There are two silver clasps on the front to hold it closed. There is a wooden handle on the front to carry the case, which is attached with two silver holders. There are two silver hinges on the back. The bottom of the case is rectangular, the top of the case is rectangular with a slopped front. The edges of the case has worn away on the sides showing the cardboard underneath. The inside of the case is covered with a royal blue, fuzzy material.
