Description

“This device was used to hatch eggs on the farm. It was kept warm at a constant temperature for approximately 28 days. A coal oil lamp (one located beside incubator) would have been used as a heat source. There should have been a mechanism for controlling the temperature, but this appeasers to be missing from our unit. The front of the incubator drops down and there are two trays located inside. There is a ventilator on top of the incubator.” - Old Museum Info & Tour Info Pre 2003
