1776 Guide For New YorkEntry/Object ID
01.28.27Description
A guidebook should be a catalyst, providing ideas around which the traveler can plan a trip to suit his or her own interests and needs. This book, from being an exhaustive (and exhausting) guide to New York State, suggests a series of short excursions to the most fascinating places in the state. The 1776 Guide takes as its emphasis Revolutionary history, but it is not a chronicle of every Revolutionary event or an inch-by-ich description of the soil over which the armies fought. Rather, this Guide is concerned with offering a variety of memorable experiences. Published in 1976.
