14.1.1Description
Originally the town was farming and small industry. At the start of the 21st century, both areas have been reduced. There are still several dairy farms, two cheese farmers, one goat, the other using cows' milk. The beef industry is also represented. The Stevens' family farm is now on the third generation of producing vegetables and fruit for sale at the farm and participates in several farmers markets in the area. McWhorter's has continued their family business selling apples from their orchard and also doing farmers markets.
