Irma M. Oatman was born May 19, 1889 in Hebron, NY and grew up in Cambridge, NY. After graduating from Cambridge High School, she married A. Herbert Starbuck of Glens Falls in 1913. She and her husband spent the first few years of their marriage in Panama while he was employed working on the canal. They returned to live in Bennington, VT when in 1919 Irma died from birth complications. Her infant son was just 10 days old.
Irma, A. Herbert and their son Donald are all buried in Woodland Cemetery in Cambridge. (photo circa 1910)
