This small homespun blanket was embroidered by Laura Cook Chapin Ingalsbe of South Hartford in 1844. As well as her name and date the blanket has "Protection to Home Industry," oftentimes a slogan of the Whig Party. This blanket appears to been halved at one point in its history.
