Description

These photographs were taken by Earl Safford. He was born in Cambridge, NY, 1876. He later lived in Salem, and moved to Hebron in 1912. He was a photographer, beekeeper, and farmer. He photographed people, scenes, school pictures, etc. A description of his career can be found in "Hebron: A Century in Review", pages 114 to 119. Most of his photographs were taken in and around the area of Hebron, NY. He died in 1953. Two looseleaf black notebooks containing B&W prints from the negatives located on the shelves W-HEB SAF. Five black archival boxes in the upstairs archives PHO-SAF. Copy of the contents located in the vertical files under BIO SAFFORD.
