Name/Title
82 Alexander StreetEntry/Object ID
ALEXANDER.082.001Scope and Content
A 2-story frame house, which some preservationists had requested be spared because of its charming "vernacular" architecture (wide weatherboarding, plain box cornice with return, narrow windows, single-story piazza) and its location in Wraggborough-Mazyckborough. Research revealed that the house was not on its present site prior to 1881. The house was either constructed or moved from another location by Martin Dillon about 1881.
File contains News & Courier article dated June 6 (year unknown), "House at 82 Alexander St. Slated for Early Demolition."
