Scope and Content

The home of U.S. Constitution signer Charles Pinckney. Local preservationists, including Historic Charleston Foundation, saved the property by purchasing and then holding it until the National Park Service could assume responsibility for it. The farm opened as the Charles Pickney National Historic Site on May 5, 1995. (Nat'l Trust website.) Four document boxes containing information related to Snee Farm and the development of the Charles Pinckney National Historic Site. See Container List for file details.
