The painting ( which is excuted in manner of a sketch is in fair condition. The panel is in good condition. There is some flake loss of the paint layer occurring through out the painting.
The painting appears to have never been removed from its frame, the original wrought nails are still holding it in the frame. THe surface is coated with a heavy layer of grime. There may not have ever been a varnish layer present.

Notes
Scope of work: The painting is in fair condition. The amount of loss in the paint layer is minimal. The flaking paint will be consolidated. The heavy coat of grime will be reduced and a saturating varnish will be applied. The losses will be compensated with fill material and inpainting.
