BROAD.102.001Scope and Content
Constructed ca. 1844. This 3½ -story, stucco, Greek Revival house was built by Dr. Henry Frost, whose physician's office still stands two doors away. Although unusual for this area of Broad Street, its design is typical of the side-passage, double-parlor plan that became common in Charleston's antebellum neighborhoods. A late-19th century, rear piazza enclosure, with a bay window on the third story, is an exceptional feature of this building.
