This 19th century single-house that had been gutted by Hurricane Hugo and deteriorated further since, was the subject of the Emanuel AME Church's request to the BAR to have it demolished. It was denied unanimously in an effort to preserve the remaining structures on rapidly changing Calhoun Street.
