This antebellum residence was built in the 1830s in what was then Charleston's garden district. Its inset porches distinguished it from other buildings of the era. The building was occupied as apartments but vandalized after it was vacated. Listed in This is Charleston as "worthy of mention." BAR approved its demolition and it was razed in 1970(?).
File contains captioned photograph of the building from the Evening Post, 6/6/1970, with info stated above.
