Further researchScope and Content
When this clapboard house was constructed, the variety of architectural revivals associated with the Victorian era were very much in vogue. However, the builder chose a conservative design using the Charleston single house plan, one that would fit in with earlier structures on this block of Church Street. The land may very well have belonged to its northern neighbor at #33 as this house closely resembles its neighbor in appearance.
File contains contains handwritten (staff?) research notes regarding chain-of-title; FOHG house histories (1992, 2003); Sanborn Map; copies of two deeds (portion).
Needs further research.
