Provenance

Notes

Admin or Biographical History: Acquisition by HCF is not documented; however, originals were possibly given to HCF by Loutrel Briggs, a founding Trustee. Most of the other drawings for which there are photocopies were presumably obtained from the SC Historical Society.

General Notes

Note

Notes: Briggs identifies the address only as "East Bay Street." She is at 51 East Bay in the 1940 City Directory but at 83 East Battery in the 1942 City Directory. Per Buildings of Charleston, there is a a courtyard landscape designed by Loutrel Briggs at 83 East Bay Street. No mention of a LB garden at 51. Need to confirm address.
