B&W newspaper photograph (scan) of 554 King Street and 550 King Street as they appeared in 1935. From June 30, 1935 News & Courier article “City Condemns 300 Houses; Total Is Due to Pass 1500.” Photo was captioned as examples of the buildings the city was in the process of condemning and razing. These two buildings were located on the east side of King Street just above Cannon Street, where the Midtown development is occurring. Image #2 from George S. Hacker & Son letterhead (1883).
