Robert Brewton House. 71 Church Street, March 1920. Two-story house (here 3) given in 1733 by Colonel Brewton to his daughter Miss Dale. Larger house at the time occupied by Robert Brewton, son of Col. Miles, brother of Mrs. Dale. Earliest example of the single house. Sold by Col. Robt. Brewton in 1745 to Jordan Roche who married another sister Rebecca who married one Gustave(?) for a second husband and died intestate in June 1767. The home was sold by her nephew & heir at law. Long been the property of Mrs. Arthur Hayes(?).Lexicon
