Title of drawing: 51 Meeting Street (Nathaniel Russell House) a/k/a Barbot Plans a/k/a Nuns' Drawings Date of drawing: ca. 1870 Name of creator(s): Drawn either for or by the Sisters of Our Lady Mercy 1st Floor Plan, 2nd Floor Plan, 3rd Floor Plan. Blue-line prints of the original drawings prepared either for or by the Sisters of Our Lady Mercy who owned and occupied the Nathaniel Russell House from 1870-1908. (The original drawings have never been located.) Consists of two sheets of drawings. One portrays the 1st Floor Plan of the house and the boundaries of the property; the other includes floor plans of the 2nd and 3rd floors. The drawings bear no date; one sheet is faintly signed "Charles J. Barbot." See pages 55-58 of An Architectural and Historical Analysis, Nathaniel Russell House, Volume I: Historical Overview by Orland Ridout and Willie Graham for additional information. Drawings are kept in protective plastic and folders with photocopies made for access.
