Description

Volumes I and II, which are combined into one volume, contain 5,000 examples, illustrated by photographs and brief descriptive comments, of furniture and utensils, mostly of American origin. Volume III is more than a supplement to Vols. I and II. It contains additional data on many of the pieces in that set, with notes on styles, dates, construction, and origins. Of special interest is the outline of cabinet-making and a complete list of early cabinetmakers. Contains 1,000 illustrations. 3 v. in 2, ill., 27 cm.
