This volume reproduces from the original publications all the material pertaining to furniture found in the editions of Sheraton's Cabinet-Maker and Upholsterer's Drawing-Book published within the author's lifetime. Sheraton's trade card offered his services as a delineator and designer. In this capacity he began to publish the Cabinet-Maker and Upholsterer's Drawing-Book in 1791. With additions and alternations it reached completion in 1794 and became an examplar of furniture design. This edition is the features the furniture of the Drawing-Book with examples of the themes of the Classical Revival as inspired by the Brothers Adam and rendered into furniture by countless cabinetmakers, craftsmen, and artists.
