EBAY.097.1Scope and Content
Constructed ca. 1741. This 3-story brick house is part of a suite of buildings constructed by Othniel Beale, the engineer of the city's colonial fortifications. The house retains its basic upper fenestration, but a 19th century storefront was removed, the arch on the north of the front face was filled in with a Neoclassical revival fanlighted doorway, and a balcony from another site was placed on the second story front.
File contains newspaper articles, DYKYC 1979 and letter to editor from Susan Pringle Frost).
