Scope and Content

Three-story commercial building located at the northwest corner of East Bay and Cone Streets. The current building has no resemblance to its early 19th century version. File contains description of the business, Otto Tiedeman & Sons, from "Resources & Attractions of Charleston" (ca. 1898); graduate student report (Syra Valiente, 2010) on the history of the building (174 East Bay), which includes historical and chain-of-title research, maps, photos, deeds, plats, and other supporting documentation.
