Scope and Content

Formerly a collection of 18th century warehouses, the buildings were been restored to preserve their history while also providing modern-day comforts and conveniences (Inn website). Building number fluctuates from the end of the 19th century to the turn of the 20th century. See Sanborn Maps. Currently identified as 195 East Bay Street. Note that it and related properties are also referred to as 52-54 State Street. There are multiple easement donors related to this property. Documents are currently contained in four files consisting of documentation of the original easements on the property including related correspondence and Confirmations of Understanding; Part I certification (National Register); annual inspection reports; requests for alterations; and other documentation related to the management of the property; documentation related to the sale of the property.
