Scope and Content

Constructed 1852; alterations ca. 1900, 1979. Two-story gabled wood frame duplex tenement. Originally served as the kitchen and servant's cottage for the residence at 107 Coming Street. The property was later expanded and used as a sweet shop. Three files contain documentation of the easement on the property including related correspondence and Confirmation of Understanding; easement appraisal report and IRS form 8283; Part I certification (National Register) (2008 and 1998 applications*); undergraduate student research report on the history of the house, which includes historical and chain-of-title research, maps, photos, and other supporting documentation (Sarah Allen, 2014). *Note, narrative history is included in the Part I certification application; the 1998 application contains photos, maps, and floor plans. The files will also eventually include annual inspection reports, requests for alterations, and correspondence and other documentation related to the management of the property.
