Scope and Content

Constructed 1840. This church, Charleston's 6th Episcopal house of worship, is a frame, Greek Revival building with gabled portico with lunette window supported by four Tuscan columns. Its interior has been altered. File contains narrative history (author, source not indicated); copy of an illustration of the church (source not identified); undergraduate student research report* on the history of the house, which includes historical and chain-of-title research, maps, photos, and other supporting documentation (Jordan Yale, 2015). Image #1 in this record is from the slide collection; image #2 from Guide to Charleston Illustrated, 1875.
