Constructed 1930s. This late-Craftsman style gasoline station until recently was one of only a few businesses remaining in the "South of Broad" neighborhood. Its stucco has a spatterdash finish characteristic of the few peninsular Charleston buildings built in variants of the Craftsman style after World War I.
File contains narrative history (same as above); newspaper article and correspondence related to whether or not building would be demolished; application for height variance to the Board of Zoning Appeals (denied).
