Constructed ca. 1786; restored 1930s, 1990. Building contractors Robert Haig and Alexander Don completed this beaded weatherboard single house by the latter months of 1787 on land purchased from the larger lot to the north of George Ross, a Scottish tin merchant. A piazza was first added to the building in 1815 and replaced many years later by the 2-story Neoclassical Revival style portico.
