Early edition of This is Charleston describes 205 King Street as "Ante Bellum. Notable. Fine old sign bracket." 1990 edition lists it as "gone." Presumably, the original building at this site was replaced by one built in the 1940s that was operated as Cowperthwait Furniture Store. Needs further research.
