Archivist's Notes: All of the original documents had been encapsulated in plastic of unknown type, sealed on all sides with tape. Items were removed from the plastic and placed in Melinex sleeves. Series 1 documents will be scanned and photocopied to minimize handling of originals; correspondence will be transcribed by graduate students in September. Series 2 documents will be re-photocopied.
Level of Description: Fonds
System of Arrangement: The original arranger of these documents is unknown. Personal correspondence of ABR and his wife had been arranged numerically using Roman numerals. Other original documents were numbered in Arabic numerals, and include some additional correspondence between ABR and his wife. The numbering system kept envelopes together with the letters. These documents have been filed in the same numerical order as originally arranged, with their original numbering scheme noted on the sleeve. The remaining documents in this collection are in individual files.Location
