Dear Sir,
Would you be so kind enough to let me have a list of our old Company; that is the names of those who first went to Virginia in the Old Brooks Guards. I have written to several of the Company but never could get an answer to my letters. I would consider it a very great favor, if you would oblige me that much.
I am married and have two boys - I am keeping a store at this place, and am doing very well, although I have seen some devilish hard times since the busst-up.
Please remember me to any of the members of the old company that you should meet and please accept the kind wishes
of
E.F. Oneill
