EBAY.321.8Description
Reprint of an early 20th century photograph of the Blake-Grimke House (321 East Bay Street), front (east) elevation, viewed from the corner of Vernon and Washington Streets, a block away to its east. The north wing of the house is extant (added ca. 1850 and later removed during its restoration in the 1960s). The house to its north, 325 East Bay, is partially visible at right. The rear and north elevations of 332 East Bay Street, located across the street on the southeast corner of Vernon and East Bay, is at left with a car nearby parked on the street. The lot bounded on three of its sides by East Bay, Vernon, and Washington Streets appears to be vacant; this is likely the site of the Isaac Ball House, which was demolished in the 1920s.
