Scope and Content

Constructed 1835; alterations 1886, 1969, 1979, 1984. Three-story masonry commercial building with gabled roof clad in standing-seam metal. Three files contain documentation of the easement on the property including related correspondence and Confirmation of Understanding; Part I certification (National Register); easement appraisal report; IRS form 8283; narrative history; historical/chain-of-title research information; news articles; occupancy history from Old Codgers' Charleston Address Book. The files will eventually contain annual inspection reports, requests for alterations, and correspondence related to the management of the property.
