Scope and Content

Constructed ca. 1820. Thomas Fleming, a prosperous merchant, built 316 King Street as an investment property. The present facade was added in 1903 when Sarah Rubin was the owner. The building is 3 stories of brick, stuccoed, with a hipped roof featuring the West Indian slop or bell-cast. File contains newspaper article (1982 DYKYC).
